The best of advice I can give you is dont expect alot of money for the first yr but after you get a year under your belt you will be fine.Do not go through CRST they are crap they don't pay anything and they will rip you off. Plus they dont have a hotel to put you in while in training they have a college dorm you will share a room with two-three other people just fyi..Its up to you but I would go with Pam or US Express..","replyToPid":0}

You are going to make alot mistakes in your first year, and you will be at a high risk for an accident. ","text":"I have been non stop searching - school will cost be from 4-6k. If I end up going my own route; will these companies make me obligate time , even though they want to put me through their own program? Basically I am trying to avoid paying for it twice. I know that my first year will be tuff and I’ll most likely be used and abused. Trying to write it off as paying my dues. More importantly I just want to learn to really be a good / safe professional driver. I have owned boats and have been driving trailers for a long time and I’m confident I can drive a rig. However adding 80k pounds and snow ,ice ,people cutting you off and slamming their brakes , mountains , is an entire other beast. Although I want to make money and learn the business and maybe do my own thing, my top priority is staying alive and being a real driver. ","replyToPid":406823}

","text":"I saw the other post you have , let me tell you something coming from a Cuban family that has lost everything to communism. If you value and love this country you would realize that Trump might not be perfect , but he is sincere and truly loves and puts this nation first. He has done more for this country , black community, Latin community , and all its citizens than Biden or any Democrat!Why do I want to be a trucker ? I’m a Commerical fisherman by trade and I operate heavy equipment. I am competing against illegals that don’t pay taxes or contribute anything to the community, that get taken advantage of and work for pennies. I believe in hard work and capitalism, I believe that we are blessed to live in this county and that it is not only our duty to be patriots but an honor to be one. I’m not bashing you , to each his own. But try living in Cuba , Venezuela, China , Russia , any communist county and perhaps you will realize how blessed you are to call America home.
