{"replyToPid":342411,"replyTo":"","text":"Why? You take all the batteries out. Charge them completely. Then load test them. A proper load test will tell you exactly what each battery is like. In fact I just replaced a battery on Tuesday. I knew I had a bad one. They measured 1100, 1100, and 1000. CCA. And the bad one was 200. I replaced just the bad one. If you want to change out all 4, that’s your call. But I think you’d be dumb for throwing away that money. I’ve seen a batteries last anywhere from few months to many years. Also, the higher CCA batteries won’t last as long, because the plates are closer together inside. I have 1100 CCA because that’s what came in truck. I normally use 700 CCA, deep cycle. Deep cycle can get discharged with no damage. Source: having a dad with 50 years of heavy equipment experience, most of which didn’t come from a book. "} |
