366847 发表于 2020-01-31 08:19:21 Oh she’ll need surgery. It’s fairly simple. First incision is through the skin and fat. Second is through the abdominal wall. Use fingers to elevate and expose the bladder wall. Make incision hole just big enough to pop out the stone. Three different layers of sutures for closing. Antibiotics with IM torbutrol for a day or two. NSAIDs to follow unless dvm rx’s tramadol or butorphanol for the road after they keep the dog for observation for a couple days. Bed rest for a week. Lifting the pup with forearm under its thighs and arm through its front legs. Urinating will have a little red tinge bc of blood in urine but it’ll clear in a few days. Special diet for the rest of its life to stop reoccurrence. Science diet U/D is what we rx’d. Easiest solution is leave the dog with them and pay the expected bill in full. Swing back through to pick up the dog in two weeks. Dog is in the care of the vet constantly and you don’t have to worry about finding a vet that you can get to and one that will take you if as a new customer if the dog gets a bladder infection post op, worst case scenario.
