I dont understand why they would be avoiding communication with you guys though. I wouldn't overreact right away. Ride it out for a bit and see if it gets any better. Id just say research is going to be key. the only reason im continuing to stick it out where I am is because they will at least answer the phones. they have me sitting days at a time and then give me the crap 200miles of a 1500 mile run.  Id definitely do the leg work of finding something new before leaving, this will lighten your area of concern, you'd still be employed so wouldn't look as bad on your application.
