{"replyTo":"","text":"Growing up done here in South Texas often times we were told the Llorona was going to get us and take us with her if we didn't come in at dark and at bedtime. Supposedly along time ago there was a woman who loved a man but the man would not have anything to do with her because of her kids. So one day she took her kids out to a river, where she threw them off the bridge and they drowned then feeling awful for what she had done jumped in and drowned herself. Now she is said to walk around the river banks searching and crying for her children. People have said throughout the years that they have seen her but I haven't.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"I have heard this one with a different twist to it in different parts of the country,but anyway,this is how we heard it when I was 13 years old or so..... Not so long ago,on a very rarely travelled river road on the outskirts of my hometown,a 16 year old took his date to above said road for a little \"alone\" time. After on the road for 3-4 miles,the car ran out of gas,as he was always meaning to get the fuel gauge fixed,but kept putting it off as money was tight. After some heavy teen-age romance,he informed his date he would walk to the nearest farmers house for gas,and instructed her to keep the doors locked in his absence. Hours passed,an before her falling asleep in the darkness of night,she thought it strange she heard branches scrapping the roof of the car,as their were trees nearby,but they were all very tall,but sleep came anyway.... When she was awakened by police officers in the morning daylight,they informed her not to turn around and look,but curiosity got the best of her,and when she looked,she saw the corpse of her boyfriend,his feet bound and tied to a tall tree branch,the breeze swinging his lifeless body,his fingernails scraping the top of the car,his face all bloody and mangled from the crows who had started their work...The killer was never apprehended...","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"Nothing huge but I once was stopped by a train in calumet city, Il., probably 2 or 3am and it’s a kind of the ghetto area, so I was a little uneasy being there at that time. The company I was delivering to was at a dead end just after the tracks. Of course there wasn’t anyone around, just me. I sat parked for like 5 minutes waiting on the train and all of a sudden I heard loud knocking on my door, like rapidly to get my attention. I have a Day cab so I looked all around the truck through the windows and mirrors, nobody. The road was wide enough that I would have totally seen someone run away after doing it. I’m sure it was something not on this plane and I accept that. I’m sure people had been killed in that area, at some point in the past.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"There is a train crossing some where on the south side of San Antonio, Tx where a train hit a school bus full of kids. People say if you go and stop your car on the tracks or on oneside of the tracks that slowly you will start moving across them. They believe its the children pushing you across. Some have tried dusting there cars with baby powder or flour and after your pushed across your able to see little hand prints. The streets surrounding the crash site are named after the children.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"I was driving from Dallas Texas to Omaha NE, not in a big rig, but in my small truck. I was very tired and started to do those long extended blinks, but I was just outside lincoln NE amd just wanted to get home, so I pushed it.\nMy blinks were getting longer, even with the radio turned up and windows down, I was sleepy and struggling to stay awake.\nI opened my eyes from a slow extended blink... and as real as anything, there was a man sitting in my passager seat, he didn't say anything, he just leaned forward and turned toward me and gave me a concerned look... The look, and I know this sounds weird was a \"wake up kido\" look, I know that is what he was saying with out words.\nWell, I did, because I got a rush of adrenaline, after all, there was a man I did not know sitting next to me in my truck, when I was sriving alone. Well I was wide awake and made it home.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"My dad was working as a driver that would just do short runs for different companies whenever they needed someone. He got called to run a truck to some research facility. When he gets there, the trailer has a refrigerator set to freezing. He's given very specific instructions, 'Don't stop. If you break down, call this number immediately. Any problems? Call this number.' He said it felt like he was on a secret mission.\n\nThey didn't tell him what exactly was in the truck, but he knew it didn't weigh anything. He gets to where he's going and they unload. There were two bodies in the trailer, like the type of bodies you donate to science. He had no idea what the purpose","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"My dad was a long-haul driver. The thing he said was the worst he's ever seen was when he was driving along some interstate when a mini-van cut off the truck in front of him. It's been a few years since I heard the actual story, but I think it was like lost control due to weather or highway hypnosis somewhere out west.\n\nHe killed the entire family. There was blood and body parts scattered across the freeway.\n\nMy dad had to physically restrain the other driver because after the shock set in he kept trying to run into traffic and kill himself.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"I am a dispatcher. We had a driver who had an odor problem. I'm not talking about body odor like sweat. I'm talking about stale urine. Anytime he'd come into the dispatch office it was a race to get him to leave. It was the kind of putrid tang that would make you gag immediately and completely involuntarily, regardless of your best efforts. The driver was a rather heavyset guy. Nice enough, but a little slow.\r\nWe let it go until we started getting complaints from customers about the smell. The driver was a flatbed driver, which meant that most of his deliveries were to construction sites, job sites, steel and lumber mills, etc. Around 90 percent of deliveries were outdoor, and in a company of rough and tough dudes who otherwise wouldn't care how you smelled. We'd get a couple phone calls a week from a job foreman saying that they wouldn't take this guy onto their site anymore because even outdoors, the smell was too bad for the workers.\r\nWe started delicately attempting to bring it up and would try to urge him to use proper hygiene. He claimed he showered every day or every other day at worst, and that's just what he smelled like and has had the problem for as long as he could remember. There was nothing he could do.\r\nAt some point, he had to bring his truck in for maintenance. It was a company truck so he didn't own it, but we don't rotate trucks so he had the same one for months.\r\nSomething had to be checked on the gearshift, so the mechanic had to get inside the truck. Upon climbing into the cab, the mechanic promptly did a 180 and puked out the driver's side door. It was then that a big piss bucket was discovered. I'm not talking like, a Gatorade bottle or something that he took a leak in so he didn't have to stop one time. I'm talking like, a job-site shop bucket filled nearly to the top with urine.\r\nThe floor was wet around it indicating it had splashed out. The inside of the cab smelled like him. It was basically pure concentrated evil.\r\nWe fired the driver using the complaints from customers as the excuse and then parked the truck outside in our yard, with the doors and windows open for a week just to dull it. Then, we had a guy with a homemade hazmat type suit go in and basically douse the whole thing in bleach and cleaners.\r\nNo matter what they did, they couldn't get rid of the smell. That truck sat outside in our yard for a full year with the windows and doors standing wide open through rain, snow, and wind. It just sat wide open in the elements. A year later, the boss decided to close it up and see how it was. It was just as bad as the day they tried to clean it.\"","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"As a man that has reached the ripe old age of 48, I can promise you that I have seen some stuff go down. This one totally takes the cake for me though. I was waiting out front of a truck stop back in the mid-80s. I was sitting on a park bench with a guy that had a big Rottweiler dog on a leash with him. I tried to make small talk, but he was quite a sourpuss.We sat in silence for a few minutes until the most unexpected thing I have ever seen happened right before my very eyes.While we were sitting there, a big 18-wheeler pulls in without a trailer so he parks right up front like a normal car would. Inside the cab of the truck with the driver is a little monkey. The dance for the organ grinder kind. I think they are called Rhesus monkeys. Well, the dog spots this little monkey and proceeds to freak out. The dog is lunging at the end of his leash and barking at the top of his lungs.\r\nGenerally making a real spectacle of himself, to say the least. The driver is obviously upset, but not nearly as much as the monkey is. In retrospect, I think eagerly aggressive may be a more appropriate description for his disposition. He was pacing the dashboard back and forth while never taking his eyes off of this very aggravating dog. The driver opens his little triangle window that they don't make on cars anymore, the ones made for smokers back in the day.\r\nThe dog's owner laughs and says that his dog would eat that monkey alive. Upon hearing this, the driver leans over and reaches into his glove box and pulls out one of those tiny baseball bats like you used to get at Carnivals and places it in the monkey's hand. The monkey obviously knows what's about to go down because he is now trying to squeeze out of that little triangular window I mentioned earlier.\r\nThis monkey has murder in his eyes. The driver hollers, 'Last chance to save your dog, man.' In response, the dog owner lets his dog off of the leash. Now we have a situation that has escalated to the point where we have a dog jumping up at the window and a monkey screaming right back at him. Well, the driver finally rolls down the regular window and out leaps all kinds of miniature primate fury. The dog never knew what hit him.\r\nQuick as a flash, this monkey is riding on the back of this dog's neck. His two back feet all wrapped up around his neck fur with one hand hanging onto an ear. The other hand as you may have guessed by now is steadily and mercilessly raining down blows about this dog's head and face. I mean, hard blows. You can even hear the 'Whap, whap, whap' sound.\r\nIt only took a moment for the dog to realize he was in way over his head.He bolts yelping bloody murder as he runs away at full speed. I mean, this dog is running so hard that he's throwing up tufts of grass and dirt as soon as he leaves the pavement. The monkey is still riding his back and beating on him the whole time. The dog's owner acts like he wants to fight now but several people including myself stepped in to stop that nonsense. In a couple of minutes or so, the little monkey comes loping back with his little bat still in hand and leaps up into the still open window of the truck to await his master who has gone on into the store.\r\nThat guy ran off to try to go find his dog, but I don't know if he ever did. My ride showed up and I had to go. Never again in this lifetime will I see something so totally crazy and unexpected like that. I am both fortunate and humble to have been so privileged to be present for such an event.\"","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"My mom is a trucker. One time, she was driving through Arizona when she saw what she thought were leaves blowing across the road in the distance. This puzzled her since there's mostly pine trees in northern Arizona. When she finally got to the 'leaves', she realized that they were migrating tarantulas. Thousands of them. There were so many of them that her truck was sliding on their guts, so she had to slow down.\r\nShe stopped at the first truck stop and told her co-driver to fuel up (he was sleeping at the time) because she wasn't going to step foot outside after what she just saw. Her co-driver was pissed since it was technically his time off, and he thought she was crazy until he saw the tarantula guts and legs caked on the inside wheel well of the truck.She also outran a tornado in the Midwest. She was about to pull over and take cover until she saw another big rig that was parked on the side of the road get tossed a couple hundred yards like a toy.\r\nShe called me and told me that she thought she was going to die and wanted her last words to me to be, 'I love you.' She pulled off the freeway and got to a Walmart, where she ran into the basement. After the tornado passed, they stepped out of the basement and into daylight. The Walmart had been destroyed.\"","replyToPid":0}
