{"replyTo":"","text":"As a said professional driver, if you are feeling any fatigue you should take immediate actions and pull over and rest to rejuvenate yourself. we said drivers deal with what most people on the road (only for short periods of time) can even understand. most accidents with trucks are caused by other motorists that are occupied by everything else other than being safe on the road. We professional truck drivers have to pay more attention to everyone else and maintain a safe driving habbit. That way if and when others lose control, we can act quickly with our professional training to try to avoid being tangled up with them. (Most), but not all truck drivers pay most of the attention that's needed at all times. I think we should only have to have training for the job that is intended to be done (as any job).  With  no hours of service regulations. We should be properly trained for the job and let able to be done. Being professional at what you are doing is the manner you act and the quality of work you do at all jobs. The rules and regulations should be implemented on all drivers using any road ways to travel. Knowing the abilities of all types of vehicles on the road ways, all people in the driver seat of what they are driving should and have to be professional toward the task, each and everyone of us lives depends on it.","replyToPid":0}

If I’m able to drive 11 hrs a day legally then in a 7 day period I should have a 77 hr rule you could then keep all the rest hrs that every one seems to be concerned about causing fatigue bc now we will actually have the hrs to get the job done with out rush & less cases of fatalities and crashes!","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"I think its a step in the right direction.  30 minutes in a truckers day can make a big difference. most of us never really take a lunch anyhow.  we do it while we are loading/unloading. especially in flatbed industry. You grab a burger while you watch them put it on the trailer, and that allows you enough \"grace period\" to make a delivery in tighter schedules.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"End of story. I can't sleep 8 to 10 hours at a time. sleep 4 to 6 hours and I am energized. Then I sit around for another 3 or 4 hours waiting for my clock to clear and all that does is tire me out and me sleepy all over again.","replyToPid":0}
