The opinion is the absolute best rule that FMSCA could make for a driver and would help his logs in so many ways is create a rule where if the truck is not moving over 15mph then you could stop the 14hr clock. Like sitting in a wreck where the traffic just inches along or stops for hours before they get it cleaned up. This runs out drivers clocks then they drive like hell with the little time they have left to make it to a place to stop for the day. This cannot be safe. If the truck is not moving more than 15mph then you must know there is a problem. ","replyToPid":0}

All these restrictions are doing is forcing drivers to drive hard to get their 11 hours in tired or not because they can’t afford to stop for a 10 hour break. If the 14 rule wasn’t there, they could stop for a few hours then hit the pavement again. Not everyone sleeps the same. And who sleeps for 10 hours? That is crazy.
