649885 发表于 2020-10-12 14:35:46 This is a great way for trucking companies to pressure drivers into working longer even if they haven’t rested, just cause a log says they rested doesn’t prove anything.  If you want to make more money, get a pay raise, not work more.  If you’re unable to do your job in the long 14 hours, then you need to turn your CDL in.  15 years of driving and I’m off for about 14 hours everyday and has not affected my pay whatsoever, I still make about $75k/year as a company driver.  You’re supposed to be a professional, not some weak crap that can’t do their job in 14 hours.

All these restrictions are doing is forcing drivers to drive hard to get their 11 hours in tired or not because they can’t afford to stop for a 10 hour break. If the 14 rule wasn’t there, they could stop for a few hours then hit the pavement again. Not everyone sleeps the same. And who sleeps for 10 hours? That is crazy. "}
