{"replyTo":"","text":"wow; without blocking in between; thats crazy! ! either block it ; OR have them load it touching! YOU CANNOT SPACE THAT LOAD OUT LIKE THAT WITHOUT BLOCKS IN BETWEEN! ","replyToPid":0}
452317 发表于 2019-10-08 21:37:41 someone might come in and say im wrong. as far as I know. if you don't have t blocks in between the bundles. you could get a securment ticket.
","text":"I’m not sure .... I thought u were just supposed to individually belly wrap the bundles if there weren’t any blocking ...... Gerdau steel didn’t put blocking on any ones load","replyToPid":223830}
{"replyTo":"","text":"flatbed aint no joke! third of all trick; do whats safe ; and tarp if your worried about cops seeing it; but thats dangersos with the spacing; you are just not noticing how damgerous it is cause the stwel is soooo heavy and not moving right now; but 80 miles an hour out of gear down a hill round a bend that load will shift; ","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"second of all; like that guy already said; chains on metal; straps on everything else straps on wood or whatever; but wow; that load with that space in between is very dangerous! ive seen guys chain up pretty well and have loads shift on the side of the road; let alone strapping; ","replyToPid":0}
","text":"you would choke or belly strap all the bundles as one in the front and back. strap or chain the rest.. as far as how do you handle them not blocking it. if you feel the load is unsafe you refuse it, period.","replyToPid":223872}
755304 发表于 2019-10-08 21:53:50 I would say if you have front and back of each bundle chokes or belly wrap your good but throw a few extra straps on but there should be blocking in between them . Make sure each bundle is secure from sliding
","text":"We were taught how to secure these types of loads in load securement with and without blocking ..... a lot of steel places that I’ve gone to do not put the blocking in between ..... I would imagine that we could use our 1 ft blocks to create our own blocking but I’m not sure ","replyToPid":223841}
{"replyTo":"","text":"So I individually belly wrapped each bundle and tightened em down really tight... I was told that using chains on this load will damage the freight and this type of flat steel is easier to slide through the chains than it is the straps..... Load is already delivered and never shifted at all..... I saw other drivers that do not work for my company with the exact same securement as well.... Also I was told that using chains will bunch the steel up together in more of a round shape than keeping it flat which will most likely cause some of the pieces of steel to walk out.... I don't make the rules I'm just doing as I was taught ","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"they will not wanna fix the load yhey will be mad and irritated you gottta watch them as they lof and nip that s$&@ in the bud would you load crates or pallets with the spacing ? no cause the lighter loads you would see the shiftness this load yall are getting away with it cause its ao heavy its stable; and so long ; and god willing your not slamming the brakes round a bend down hill all at tue same time","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"the belly wrapping i only do id something is round ; or can move something on wheels; or something on only one side of a trailer by itself; usually a partial load type; or like one single pipe by itself type situation; i would not belly wrap that; i would chain it straight ways that beibg said guy flatbed aint no joke! and i could care less about a violation or ticket; thats dangerous if that space is allllll there right now ? and your driving right now? ","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"can't tell from your video. do you have T blocks? something in between the bundles. I was always taught metal on metal. fiber on fiber. Anymore, I would strap that load. that's my opinion.","replyToPid":0}
