{"text":"The only interactions I’ve had since I started have been at shippers, receivers, or at truck stops. As you all know conversations won’t last more than 5 minutes most times at these places.\n\nThis has been pretty rough for someone who is usually pretty social. Not unbearable. Just different.\n\nI’d like some tips on how to retain my social skills?\nI know I won’t completely lose my social skills but I can definitely already see my edge starting to dull though.\nI’m basically asking how can I keep the personality that I have NOW without a year of mostly silence by myself effecting that. I do plan on teaming eventually but my company is taking their sweet time pairing me up with someone and even then only having extended conversations with one person for a year will be sure to change my personality.\n\nPlease don’t suggest I quit driving. I need the money. Also, I plan on visiting family once a month.\n\nMainly looking for exercises I can practice, books, or podcasts.\n","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true} |
