{"text":"I own a truck rental for a license test. I've had this business since 2011. About 2 years ago I learned about a new law that is already been passed, but is not effective until February 2020. Once I learned about this law I immediately started to learn how to be a driver and owning a DOT authority. I'm ready to get approved for this law, but I cannot find any additional information. As of right now, the only information I have on this law is on the FMCSA website. \n\nI have contacted senior managers with the Secretary of State. Called the FMCSA themselves, contacted state level DOT and called the capital. No one has any information about this law. \n\nTo the best of my understanding when a new applicant for CDL license obtains his or her license. It will be mandatory that the new driver must be employed with an approved carrier with the FMSCA. This \"approved carrier\" will have to sign off on you that you are safely competent at driving. There is no \"behind the wheel\" minimum hours. This is essentially mandatory training requirements for all new drivers who, at State level, receive their CDL to drive CMVs. \n\nBottom of this page is the law on FMCSA website. Anyone can shed light on this for me, that would be great. I get about 15 to 20 or more people a week that receive a CDL license with my trucks. I'm assuming the FMCSA will allow me to get approved for this program. I couldn't imagine FMCSA cherry picking only selective carriers to be approved for this law. \n\nFrequently Asked Questions: Entry-Level Driver Training Final Rule","pics":"[]","canComment":true}
