{"text":"I was thinking about oil changes the other day. now some do it every 15,000 miles then others do it all the way at 45,000 miles. now the different types oil. Weight/synthetic etc. \nlet's say you do your full oil change at 15,000 miles. say at speedco. \nthey ask what type of oil regular, synthetic, full synthetic or bulk. \nyou go synthetic mobile 5w 30. \nthe person next to you says synthetic bulk. 5w 30\nwhat's the Difference? \n\nnow synthetic oil is oil with an synthetic additive. \nit's regulated by PPM whether it full or regular synthetic \n\nThink about this. the driver getting bulk oil. pay's 50.00 less than you not only that he changes his oil every 45,000 miles but every 15,000 miles he changes his oil filter dies a oil sample and tops off.\n30,000 same as 45,000 etc \n\nso who is the crazy one \n15,000\n30,000\n45,000\n\nnow think about this. bulk oil. every truck that has there oil changed no matter what type 5w 10w regular synthetic etc. is recycled and sold back to various oil changing places. \nsince it's recycled if you ask for regular bulk oil is it regular or is it synthetic? with a lower PPM? \nsomething about oil. the only way oil is bad is if it's burnt. (true fact) that's why they recycle oil. so in reality which owner operator is saving on oil changes? \n\nThis whole question is mine alone. I'm not suggesting anyone change there maintenance program. but if you do decide to change talk to the appropriate person and the manufacturer on oil changes...","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true} |
