{"text":"My pal texted me and sent me this dilemma.\n\nhe's a Trucker in Northern Texas, USA\n\n\"My 2013 Cascadia Freightliner wouldnt start, even jumpstarting didnt work. Had it towed to a nearby truck repair shop, and had it stuck back there for the past 8 days. I need the truck to make my living and feed my family (I work as an Owner-Operator)\n\nCame back today, and it was not fixed. Asked the guy in charge if i can get it back, and tow it to another shop. Refused to give it to me unless i payed his labour hours.\n\nhe charges $65 per hour, and claims to have worked on it for over 20 hours in the past week, even though it looks like it was not even touched. It still wont start, so he didnt repair anything. Im willing to pay the diagnostics fee, dont get me wrong. But the repairs guy wanted to charge me (theoretically) at least over $1300 for labour hours that he didnt do anything in. he is refusing to give me back the vehicle. Is there anything I can do (legally) right now? I know small claims court, but that takes time and money, which I are tight right now as i was unable to work for the past week.\"'\n\nAny help is appreciated.\n","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true} |
