Logging 8/2 split

I haven't had time to read the regs, but curious if I should log a post trip and go end of shift in the sleeper, or just go on break in the sleeper?  i assumed no end of shift since i was using the split to basically extend my shift. ","text":"Thanks.  Since I was effectively pausing my 14 hour clock after just 5 hours of on-duty driving to continue the next day to the receiver, was not sure if i needed to log a post trip before the 8 hours of sleeper berth, then a pretrip before resuming the paused 14 hour clock or not.  even though the 8 hour sleeper berth spanned midnight, i saw it as one trip with an extended break since it was the same 14 hour clock.","replyToPid":140575}
