Urine Trouble

{"text":"I’m about to go to trucker school and get into the industry, but I’m a little worried about drug testing. I’ve lived in WA state for the last few years and have enjoyed partaking in the devils lettuce in that time. Do most companies use urine tests, or hair tests? It’s the difference between taking a month to clean up, or three years of hair growth (I have long hair). {"replyTo":"","text":"Depends on which company you go with. Some of the big carriers like Schneider and Swift and Werner do both hair follicle and urine. Granted I’m thankful I never did drugs. I would check with each carrier to see what they do. I would suggest before wasting their time and getting sent home to do a little research. I’ve seen countless times of even some of my classmates get booted for taking narcotics for major surgeries even if they have a drs note. ","replyToPid":0}

When I went in to get my hair follicle test I told the dr the situation. I didn’t want to be a rat but at the same time I had to protect myself and others on the road. Safety comes first in this industry. We as truckers are suppose to look out for each other. I left a few schools to where the instructors were almost having me run over cars and didn’t care. Long story short I went to Swift and bit the bullet. My instructor sucked but I pushed through. If you join op make sure that drugs will be a thing of the past. If you do them while trucking you can pretty much kiss your cdl goodbye.
