Quitting my company...

{"text":"I’m an OTR driver with 4 months experience (I know, another newbie).  My current employer won’t get me home.  I understand business demands, lack of freight, etc. but when one of their main corporate mottos is ”Home, your most important destination” the company should deliver, like we do.  (Only been home 2x in 4 months while they promised home every 6 days)\nQUESTION: When an OTR driver gives 2 weeks notice to quit does the company usually let them work it out or do they just tell them to immediately drive to the nearest terminal and take a bus home? ","text":"Don’t put his truck number down on your application. Anyone will tell you anything to get a referral bonus. If they start acting like that question their intent. Not every company is a perfect for everyone. Knight is the other side of Swift and they did ok at getting me home while I worked there. Plenty of terminals just annoying as hell. Don’t do a bunch of quitting companies or you’ll make other companies nervous and untrusting. ","replyToPid":10454}
