Better Schools/ Testing Facilities

{"text":"It seems all of DOT rules apply to after you get your CDL and they want to keep piling on rules that make zero sense. I don’t know whose jurisdiction this will fall under, but what needs to be looked into (IMO) is there are so many schools that will take on anyone, just to get them to pass, and then go to the testing facility they recommend so they know that the student will pass there also. That’s how we are getting plenty of bad drivers with zero regard for rules. The school I went to, testing facility was next door, the testing agents were friends of the school and owners. They only taught us what we needed to know to pass and get a CDL. I didn't feel like we got enough training on driving in real-world scenarios. My first time driving a truck w/ 53' reefer fully loaded 79,600 lbs was kinda scary! And to go over the mountain pass in El Paso non the less! No way was I properly trained or prepared for that, I did just fine, but still. We need better enforcement on these schools! Oh this was last October, so it's still happening!!","replyToPid":0}
