{"text":"I’m new and I have been challenged so much during this first month .had a delivery in UBC food in fair lawn NJ.freaking garmin directed me in residential Hardly made it there was a van parked offside of the curb I knock on his door while Amazon truck was waiting in the back of my semi truck the guy came out yelling why you came here this is residential area it took 2 hrs to park the car like that and now you want me to move it again I was what are you really saying this I have a freaking semi truck and at top of that you are parked offside of the curb like almost on the road please tell me what to do when a company is close by to a city or something like that as a new driver it’s not easy to maneuver this thing I don’t have any experience this is my first month solo any other extra tip gonna be appreciated","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false}

{"replyTo":"","text":"Definitely you need to look ahead in your maps of the satellite view so you can see buildings..lots as well as plan B and C just in case etc.. look at both your truck map as well as Google to get both perspectives. do NOT rely on Google for the actual route as ull get screwed every time lol. {"replyTo":"","text":"as long as there's no sign saying not a truck route you should be fine to drive by. there's times where a distraction center is on the other side of a residential area. but it's always important to plan ahead before you start driving. I only use google maps to see the streets I'll be using. \nyou will find yourself in tight places, new drivers or experienced drivers. that's just the job. but one think for sure, don't panic. xD","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"It really is all about trip planning. Look at satellite images on Google.  I know it's not always possible but, I will stop and get out and look before I enter a place. Most of all take your time. If you are backing and, not sure if you will hit something, get out and look. The people that try to rush you don't care about you, they don't care if you hit something or run over someone. Never rush, always take your time.","replyToPid":0}

It looks like the only easy way into UBC foods is by train. 🙁\n3.  Use satillite view on Google maps. Don't use it for directions, its not a truck app, but do use it's overhead view to see the roads in the area.\n4. If you're a company driver, your dispatch should include directions. If it doesn't, ask for them.\n5. Once to find a good way into a tough facility like that one, add the facility to TruckerPath including the directions."}

Once you hoop into your truck, You need to prepare yourself and your mind for anything on the road. Like the First Lady comment here, don’t use garmin only. In your case use garming and google map.
