I flip Jake on and just ride down mountain. I get to bottom.  I seen one truck on side. His trailer brakes blazing. The best answer I have for you is you either gotta take the knowledge about what they tell you in school and apply it when you by yourself, or you gonna learn with a partner or instructor at a conpany.","replyToPid":0}

Their goal was getting CDL asap and moving on to the next transaction. \n\nDriving on the mountains, securing loads and so much more I either learned on the road or YouTube. To be honest it still scares me pulling heavy loads in Colorado and California especially during winter.","replyToPid":0}

Don't worry about the other drivers..... they've been where you're at too. Some figure it out, some learn the hard way. The most important thing to do is ALWAYS think safe. {"replyTo":"","text":"went to school in eastern NC  then got hired by a guy out of Denver to pull mobile homes (16x80). the guy that was supposed to train me died of COVID the week I moved to Indiana. just got in the truck and figured it out. after the owner had his heart attack I went to pull refer. I had enough experience driving they never put me with a trainer. went over the Rockies first time on my own. been up and down just about every pass there is now. first time I went down I was doing 45. as time went on and I crossed those mountains a lot I was doing 65, more out west. one time on highway 20 in Oregon my wife looked over and saw we were doing 85 coming down a straight away. it comes with time and depends on what you're hauling. if your heavy you put Jake's on and take it slower, if  empty, let it roll if you are comfortable","replyToPid":0}

I don't see how a school no where near the mountains could do anything other than classroom mountain driving. 🤷🏻‍♂️"}

He was doing 80 with everyone screaming at him on the CB. He didn't crash that time. At least when physics and karma catch up with him he'll probably crash off the highway."}
