{"text":"How many drivers remembered how truckstops was? When I was learning to drive back in the 80s.   inside truckstop food was actually home cooked. Telephone ☎️ on every table.   There was no strangers. Fellow drivers was more like family.  If you had any problems Someone was willing to lend a hand.  it's sad how the world has changed.  Truckstops now are travel plazas.  Full of tourists.  Food is like eating wood.  Drivers now are slobs and care less about anyone else. It's sad 😔.  Soon I will hang up my keys and let the younger generation with all this technology take over.","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false}

You can still find those truckstops every now and then without the phones, of course and every now and then a professional driver not a steering wheel holder just like the Knights of King Arthur, the Knights of the road are slowly becoming extinct. Best dam biscuit and gravy you would ever have. Haven’t seen them in years and often wonder if they are still open. Yes sir those were the good old days.","replyToPid":0}

No magic mice or air conditioning. Every stop was good food and nice drivers and trucker only sections . Miss the old pinball machines too.","replyToPid":0}

I didn't drive then. there are no drivers in my family so the only driver etiquette I get is experience. I noticed that today's older men always want you to hold the door for them. they will even walk slowly and hang back to force women to do it. that's my least favorite rude.","replyToPid":0}
