{"text":"If you came up on a wreck what would you do? \n\nThis very thing happened to me a couple of days ago. A young lady’s car was flipped by another driver. It happened in the left lane and of course and it was grueling traffic, everyone was fighting to work their way around it. She sat in her seat upside down, in her seat belt, for a long time in shock, totally bewildered about what just happened and then wondering if anyone was going to help her because NO ONE stopped and got out to help her. Then finally a military guy made his way up to the accident and stopped. Then another woman stopped on the shoulder just pasted the wreck and they both got her out of her car as I was approaching the wreck. Trucks, of all things, where blowing their horns at them and other cars to move. Cars weren’t giving any space for them or other cars to get over. As I approached the wreck and could see the vulnerable situation they were all in I decided to just park my truck behind them to keep them safe and to block the rubber neckers from slowing down and potentially causing another wreck. \nThe emergency responders showed up and administered medical care to the young lady who was sitting in the back set of the military guys car. \nI watched waiting for my opportunity to help if I needed to. As I watched the others move away from her, leaving her alone, I thought that’s not good. So there was my opportunity. \nI got out and walked up to her and just squatted down beside her and started talking to her about anything but the wreck. She needed her mind to be taken off what just happened for a little bit. Then she started crying so hard and I hugged her and held her and told her everything was ok and she was fine. I helped her realize there are people who care and to see them around her, not to focus on the ones who blowed their horns and wouldn’t stop. She smiled finally and even laughed as we continue our conversation. I gave her little present to remember that love is more important than anything and she was shown so much love that day. I told her what Father said in His Word, what Satan means for evil, God turns to good. \n\nIf we, truck drivers, don’t show compassion and care for those in cars then how can we expect the ones in cars to show care and compassion for us? Let’s make a positive difference in someone’s life like the truck drivers use to do. Let’s bring back the truck driver respect we use to have at every opportunity. \nIt would have been so nice if other truck drivers had stopped and started directing traffic and helping with that situation until the first responders came. That’s what they use to do. \n\n","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[{\"description\":\"\",\"height\":1050.0,\"name\":\"\",\"url\":\" \",\"width\":787.0},{\"description\":\"\",\"height\":1050.0,\"name\":\"\",\"url\":\" \",\"width\":787.0}]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false} |
