{"text":"generally us50 colorado wasn't too bad with a light load. my average speed was 54 mph with no stops from i25 to i70. i took my break just before with 7.5 hours got me to the other side just barely. it looks like about 9.7mpg. but the construction is super nasty. open this weekend to standard sized loads but I ran into a prohibited oversized that pushed all the cones at me so I was rubbing my sidewalls on the barrier to the drop off. yikes. the road is unpaved in the construction zone for a couple miles up in the mountajns. i don't know what the closures look like. I don't think I would try this route loaded heavy because so many ups and downs and you do have to watch for rock in the road. I did have some in my lane. you'll want to watch for that construction to cause closures because that's a long long turn around. they do provide them on both ends. I kind of like this pretty and deserted route. not much truck stops but tons of pull outs and sneaky spots that I didn't use. I wouldn't mind living out there.","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false} |
