{"replyTo":"","text":"different states have different specifications on their Bridge Laws. It's covered in the front of every Commercial Atlas. Places like CA it's got to be all the way forward. In Illinois the tandem can't be more than 43' from Kingpin to center of rear axle I want to say off the top of my head. And other states you can have the tandems slid all the way back 53' from the kingpin. I prefer to have the tandems as back as far as I can get them and scale legal, I like having the weight on the drive axels. Better footing and better ride I think, just my personal preference.","replyToPid":0}

But I don’t need to know! Just use common sense! If not sure, just keep tandems at 40 or 41 mark! \n\nIf overweight on an axle, always slide tandems towards where the problem is! Ball park figure about 250 lbs per hole! \n\nIf 35,000 lbs on tandem axle, slide tandems back 4 or 5 holes! If drive axles 35,000, slide tandems up towards drive axle 4 or 5 holes! ","replyToPid":0}

","text":"if you max out your trailer weight your fuel mileage will increase because your lighter on your drive axles, I do it all the time except for snow packed roads plus it'll give you a longer life on your tires","replyToPid":459909}
