{"text":"Every time I rescue a load from another driver I’m getting shafted. I’m not the one in the emergency room or screwing up my hours. Last time I lost $150. This time they shorted me 50 miles. Instead of treating me like the hero I am, they rob me blind. Should I be saying no and refusing load swaps? They are killing me. I don’t just lose revenue. I can’t recover the miles for my own use. So I’m shorted TWICE when they steal ONCE. Do I need to just say no? Does this business reward selfishness? Do we let 20 tons of food rot for 50 miles in my pocket? It’s like they have no feeling and don’t care who they screw over as long as the job gets done! If the load doesn’t get completed then the company, planners, fleet manager don’t get paid! They just happened to choose you for the swap! If they didn’t choose you, they probably would’ve gotten someone else to do it! That’s trucking! If it’s happening too often I would definitely send a message saying, “holy cow”! “How am I supposed to make a living when you’re swapping me like this and shortening my miles”! I also write down the trip number, to and from, and Dh and ld miles I’ve done for each trip on a separate notebook! In the beginning I caught them not paying me the miles I had driven a handful of times! After sending messages like “holy cow!” “Who’s doing the payroll over there!” “They’re not paying me the miles I had driven!” “Are you going to reimburse me for those miles”? I’ve found when you call them out like that they tend to stop that kind of stuff!"}

I ask for between $50 and $300, depending on how much help they need.\nOne time I had just went to bed and they called me to repower a load. I told them it would be an extra $600 for me to get out of bed to help. They paid it….\n\nBut now they don’t ask me to help much anymore because they know they have to pay","replyToPid":0}
