On duty off or in SB

{"replyTo":"","text":"If waiting at shipper or receiver I always go to SB. If there more than two hours I can split my clock 2-8, 3-7, 7-3, 8-2 or take my full 10. Also use PCDM to move to dock from staging area and back if needed so I don’t interrupt my break. ","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"Most of time, I go into SB & put in notes waiting outside warehouse, until they start unloading me than go on.  This way you can use the SB time towards will pair if you been there over two hours and you need it later.  I have been inspected twice this year & passed flying colors.  Good luck","replyToPid":0}

If driving on private property your not within the jurisdiction of the DOT.\nThe time to be clocked in or On Duty is if work is being done and even then its better to save your 3 hours for a nap.\nI've used personal conveyance from a wait area to the dock once given and then back to the parking area to complete my 10 hr reset. That way the whole time waiting from the moment I check in, getting unloaded, and in the parking area add up to 10 hr.s.\nAnother trick I did was to do a pump down at least once a week or after switching out trailers and starting a trip the mountains. \nwhen you do a pump down you are not only checking air brake systems, you are also adjusting the slack adjusters so that all pads are the same distance to the shoes","replyToPid":0}
