Now of course, it’s not for trucks, so you gotta screen the route using a Rand McNally road atlas or Google street view. About 5% of the route isn’t for trucks. \n\nWith Google maps, you can go to the settings and select “no tolls.” You can also easily drop pins all over the map to get more routing options. For the icing in the cake, you can leave Google maps navigation running so it alerts you of any delays up ahead even if they’re hours away.\n\nI do have a Garmin GPS device, but it’s not for trip planning. It’s there to make sure I don’t accidentally go out of route among other things like alerting me that I’m approaching a weight station and so on. "}

{"replyTo":"","text":"I use CoPilot Truck with Active Traffic for Navigation, I use MileOn as a trip planner, I use Trucker Path while enroute and need to park in the next hour or two or to find a rest area, and I use Fuelbook to identify the cheapest fuel prices along my route prior to starting trip, and finally, I use the Pilot Flying J app as my primary fuel network. (Maybe not the cheapest) but effective for my runs to be ontime and early. Of course it is always good to have a current Rand McNally MC Atlas for low clearance, bridge weights, restricted, etc.","replyToPid":0}
