Government isn't supposed to be profitable. Government charges the minimal to recover cost of service. Governments job is to regulate businesses. Government may not always be the most efficient, but government has other strengths,  such as they are non discriminatory, non profit driven so less likely to cut corners.\n\nYou are crying about corruption. Big businesses and small businesses are two different entities. Like voters, small businesses do not have the capital to fund campaigns,  thus why small businesses and voters are not adequately represented.
