{"replyTo":"","text":"I actually started with Stevens back in 2013. I did their lease program after some 3 months of being a company driver. They had this policy where you needed at least 2 months as a solo driver to do their lease program. Long story short, it worked for me.\n\nI will admit that I’m not your average trucker. At the time I had quit being a high school teacher, and I was looking to make the most I could. So I was hungry for financial success this time around. I never once fell into the so called “hole.” 2 years later I had paid off all my personal debt (almost 20k) and had saved up about 40k. I left them after completing a 2-year lease—to then return back to them in about 7 months. This time I wanted to buy a truck, and I did and paid it off in 1 year. I did another year with Stevens and left with about 40k to start my own company.\n\nLeaving Stevens was the best decision for my income. I have never seen the “big numbers.” I had only heard about them in disbelief. I’m telling you they’re real. Sure, you need to work for it.\n\nShould you do the lease program? Go for it—but give it your all. You cannot, I repeat, you cannot run any business with the “company driver mindset.” You won’t be happy with your income and you’ll probably quit, and rightly so. There is a time to have the “nicer” lifestyle of the company driver, but first you need to grow in experience. Eventually it will become easy to make very good money without working too hard.","replyToPid":0} |
