{"text":"Today is the election day! Just a quick reminder to get out and vote. However, we know that many long-haul truck drivers are not in their home state this Tuesday. For the many things you guys miss out, voting is something you don’t need to sacrifice!\n\nHere are some tips for you to vote and make your voice heard.\n\n- In-person - \n\nIf you’re lucky to be home, just head down to your local polling station! They open at various times (usually in the early mornings and close around 6pm). Some states require ID to vote. Make sure to double check and find your local polling station address, and hours of operations here: https://www.vote.org/\n\n- Over the road - \n\nIf you’re over the road on the big day, you can still get your voice heard! You can complete an Absentee ballot, which requires early application. Simply complete the form and mail it to your home county.\n\nRegardless of the method, voting is an important right of the American people. It’s especially important for truck drivers, whose livelihood depends on the decisions of the federal government, FMCSA, and DOT.\n\nHow was your experience voting while over-the-road in the past?
