Dispatchers - what makes a great one for all of us?

{"text":"So consistent across comments (funny stuff - loved Pete on Pete comic about Dispatchers), what makes a good Dispatcher?  Important because they are important for Drivers who are running with them and, in all frankness, often how young Drivers are learning as they embark on their careers. So, if we the Prof Drivers want better Dispatchers, or as some companies call them uggg 'Driver Managers', what can Prof Drivers on the road help our Dispatchers understand while at the same time ensuring the information that is needed for a Prof  Driver to be effective, is provided? Communication yes for sure - and certainly if a Dispatcher has been a Prof Driver, we'd expect them to know better than to assign load that is unreasonable.  Yet far too often Drivers are not provided info needed (ie. food grade) and need to determine that at same time as driving to get load ... not to mention new load assignment times are before previous load unloaded.
