{"text":"Why is it we can’t get it together owner operator and the big boy’s there wanting to pay us 1.00 a mile? The freight is still paying the same there isant as much out there granted but why are the brokers cutting rates to less than I started for 36 years ago.If we are ever going to take a stand NOW is the time the big companies are laying off there drivers the truck companies them selves are not selling trucks all are families are starving and we’re out here risking are lives and the lives of are families and for less money than ever before, I know there are some that will say u do this now at a time when your country needs you the most ?? That works both ways they are looking out for themselves why shouldn’t we fallow suit ? The big companies got every dollar of the stimulus bill b4 most of us could even get the proper paperwork to apply for the money so now we’re out here living on hot dogs and grill items away from are families risking it all for what? A sign on the street that say thanks truckers ,That sign is nice and I appreciate the sentiment and the thought but it doesn’t pay are bills feed are families and that’s the hole point if we can’t do that then WTF are we doing it for.","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false}

{"replyTo":"","text":"Well for one thing I got 30 years of my live working for myself I’m getting to old to start something different and I’m doing ok not great but ok I lost more money after 911 but if you find some good honest brokers to haul for the rates are normal yet there are some good people out here yet it’s big brokers that wreck the rates the rates are still there but there just taking more it’s called ripping truckers off just don’t haul it move to better load ","replyToPid":0}

A truck that gets 5mpg isn't going to compete in this market against a 2010 or newer engi e that gets 7-9mpg.\n\nif you're not profitable, change your business or get out.","replyToPid":0}

","text":"Looking for good brokers. I’m getting killed. I’m not giving up though. Refusing everything under $2/mile but it leaves slim pickings. I don’t run for CH Robinson. They’re a joke even when times are good. I seem to get better rates with short or local runs but dock times hurt me.","replyToPid":367385}
