Even then, if you are mechanically inclined, still double check their work.\n\nSadly, even \"real\" shops are seemingly not any better. I've taken my truck into a cummins shop a few different times and have had it come out worse than what I took it in. Example: Took my 98 FLD with a N-14 in to Cummins to have the accessory drive replaced. Picked it up and found they put the old fan belts back on (2) One had a apparent crack. The coolant line from block to air compressor was finger tight and the steel fuel line from a T to the back of the head was cross threaded. They even told me that I needed a fuel pump, quoted me $1,400...I had told them that it does not need a fuel pump. Long story short I had left there calling them pretty much incompetent 1diots. So basically even taking your truck to a \"real\" shop...you just never know, unless you're able to double check the work that's been done."} |
