Can you drain air tanks by pumping brakes?

{"replyTo":"","text":"The water is at the bottom of the tanks and wouldn’t magically be sucked out somewhere with only ambient air pressure. It may just drain out if you opened the valve but the air pressure pushes it out with force. If the cable broke, you’ll have to get to the tank valve and manually pull on it with pliers or vice grips. You don’t want water in your air system especially if it freezes.","replyToPid":0}
