Write me up all you want I don’t care. Some regulations are just idiotic. Use common sense and just get to a safe place to park within reason. There’s no one size fits all with this question. What if you’re in a remote area and the nearest place to park is 80 miles away, use all 80 miles. You’re pretty much at the mercy of the situation and dot.
