Uber and Lyft are also mandated by preliminary DOT HOS. You can work more than 70 hrs if you’re a NON trucker. The apps will cut you off after 16 hrs and they report to DOT. Trust me, I know. I did the Uber/Lyft thing for 2 & 1/2 years. If you’re a non CDL holder, you still are held to the basic 16 hr workday, but don’t have to reflect your time spent on logs and can work more than 70 hours. Uber/Lyft won’t look at your logs, but if you get audited it can get ugly. "} |
