{"text":"Anybody know of any good leasing programs? Like straight up leasing the truck to your own MC not someone’s mega carrier. Primes lease program is forced dispatch I think. I’m pondering leasing a truck and running Uber etc. choosing where I have a hankering to go. Mostly Atlanta, then west and back. {"replyTo":"","text":"I drove for a small company that sold me a truck with a few thousand down and $800 per week. I had the truck paid off in under 6 months. Then bought another one and put a driver in first truck. There was a short contact we drew up but no lease. Company got 10% and after fuel and expenses I cleared over $2k a week. I had been driving the truck for a year so I knew exactly what I was getting. I’d recommend this route for anyone. You’ll make more than a company driver and if something major goes wrong with the truck you can walk away.. text me if you think it’s a route you’d like to take. Brian- 606-875-4979. The company I ran for is out of Bowlimg Green Ky and they run to Texas and back mostly. You know repairs on the older trucks are a lot less than on the newer ones. ","text":"prime is doing a deal so instead of forced dispatch they give you 3 groups of 3 and you can choose your load, I'm not sure if its rolled out to all lease operators yet or not.  but they pay garbage, $1.09 is the minimum per mile and you get some decent loads with them.but a lot of loads are like $1.54 a mile, many many prime lease operators are looking elsewhere and not making $ like they did prior.","replyToPid":282102}

","text":"Ya because you don’t know how someone thrashed their truck. A truck becomes a home and the other driver didn’t get another one because the old one was doing perfect. Odds are it was getting timed out and eventually a bunch of critical parts are going to Shyt the bed. Axles, hubs, bearing, steering linkage, differentials, transmission, window leaks, wiring harness, motor, radiator. ","text":"I was always under the assumption that you were paying either up front or in the back. New truck has high payments but more time before issues pop up and what, a 4 yr warranty to cover issues? Older trucks could be a lemon. I’m seeing some old trucks with 500k miles and they’re listed for $89k","replyToPid":281677}
