{"text":"when negotiating price on a new truck, say its $180,000 how much room is there for negotiating a discount? and how is sales tax figured, is it based on where you live or where you buy? thank you ","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true,"externalShare":false}
","text":"ok and why should you put 30% down if you can take it for 0 down ? the difference in the payments ain't all that much . much better off keepin that money in your pocket in case its needed.","replyToPid":279206}
871816 发表于 2019-12-11 01:05:45 There is always room. Call several different dealers and use one against the other to drive the price down. Be patient. Now a days dealers are full of new stock and they aren't selling. Sales tax is based off where you live or will be registering it.

688983 发表于 2019-12-11 03:02:00 Put on your big boy pants . Your running a business. Dont borrow unless you have to. Example. I own my own Corporation with 1 truck Kenworth. Went out to replace my pickup . I had the option of taking zero percent financing or $6000. off for cash . I paid cash . Why not I have it and I do not like to make payments as the intrest you are paying is going into someone else's pocket.
","text":"you are still borrowing the money either way guy, down payment or not. putting down more than you need to is a dumb move. just my opinion, and I've owned many trucks. you think you can get a brand new truck paid in three years ? 36 month financing gonna have a payment like 6k a month.","replyToPid":279215}
688983 发表于 2019-12-11 02:36:42 Shows your commitment . More down = cheaper interest rate. and can have it paid for in 3 years . As the truck is new your maintenance costs are down .\nWhen the truck is over 3 years maintenance cost get more expensive tires brakes and also the warranty will almost be up.
","text":"I disagree . you are running a business and in my opinion you need as much working capital as you can in you bank, not tied up into the truck. putting down 30% might take off 600 off your payment. only put down as much as necessary. you can always pay more than the payment if you choose. and I'm really not sure that you get a better interest rate if you put down more.","replyToPid":279210}
688983 发表于 2019-12-11 02:17:16 First off . You better know how much money you will making . There are fixed costs truck payment, insurance etc. Rolling costs fuel tires maintenance. \nOn a purchase of a new truck set your goal to come up with a minimum 30 % down payment.

{"replyTo":"","text":"160k out the door . sales tax and fet included. looked at some a couple months ago and they were asking 160k with the Detroit, 10 speed auto. I never got really serious to start negotiating. they also had a couple with cummins were asking 155k. had at least ten new trucks sitting on the lot. then I went to peterbilt with and almost bought a new 579 with a 12 speed endurant transmission for 155k out the door but talked myself out of it.","replyToPid":0}
