{"replyTo":"","text":"Not yet. My situation... It's kinda complicated... \n\nI was a teacher for almost 17yrs. A bunch of 💩 happened over the last few years and I got tired of fighting the drama as well as being broke all the time and decided to persue a career in truck driving. \n\nI want to sign with Werner for several reasons... Other than the pay, and the orientation being up in Dallas, the route would get me a little exercise, which I don't mind at all, and it would get me back home or at least to the terminal in Longview, which is only an hour from my house. However, Werner wants to verify my employment history with the school district as well as wants to know why I resigned. Which is fine, I have absolutely nothing to hide, but the problem is, the school district (A-hole-superintendent) is not releasing any information to Werner about my employment history, so that is holding up everything. \n\nI am all set up and ready to go to orientation with USA Trucking on the 29th. Orientation is 5.5hrs away, the $ is supposed to be good, but that job is 90% drop and hook. I don't want a job where all I do is drive from A to B and back to A again, but we are running out of $. \n\nI think I would enjoy TMC, I know there is a great deal of physical labor involved, but like I said, I don't mind that at all and actually would look forward to getting back into shape, however, TMC is taking their time as well as far as the hiring/application process, which is making me wonder of they are running into the same issue with the school district. Also, the orientation for TMC is like a 13hr drive from my house and I would be gone for over 7 weeks apparently.\n\nAny advice?","replyToPid":45853} |
