Automatic transmission shifting BS?

{"text":"My Automatic t680, 10 speed eaton tranny had issue while boss was getting tires replaced on it for me.\n\nNow he said tranny has issue and is being fixed and its my fault because i don't wait between shifting from Drive to Neutral to Reverse. \n\nSounds like BS as everything is electronic. Apparently mechanic said to wait 5 secs between Change from D-N-R or vice versa.\n\nwhat you guys think? Should i find new company?\n\n","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true}

Shift from park to drive and wait for it to drop into gear then press the gas lever?  Or do you put in drive then hammer on that pedal and listen to your gears grind hoping your tranny will drop faster then a case of the runs?\n\nMore then likely you take your time.. \n\nSo, now for the million dollar question.\n\nWhy would you not treat a 50k to a 150k piece of equipment that you are not financially involved with  as the same as your own? \n\nDo you not care? Assume that when you break or damage equipment your employer should be responsible for your negligence? \n\nShould you drive down the road and a mudflap falls off your trailer and causes a serious wreck and it was proven that you did not pretrip, who would you blame then? Mom? Dad? your Boss? Maybe the mudlflap for being so inconsiderate. \n\nYes, find another occupation, preferably in a industry that you are not held accountable for your actions or lack there of. \n\nOr do your Job as a professionall Driver, take care of that equipment like a newborn baby so that you, and those around you get to where they need safely. \n\nGood luck on your future endeavors maybe washing lettuce  at a fast food joint, oh wait you would be held accountable if you didnt even do that right. {"replyTo":"","text":"It does help if you give it the extra few seconds. I run an auto. And if you switch to fast an mash on it it will just sit there and spin and when it engages it hits hard. Just slow down give it a free and you will be ok","replyToPid":0}

I should try and be more sensitive when reposding to posts. But I also think its important to drive a point home so to speak\n\nYes the way that you explained your issue read as if though your mechanic was telling you that you were not waiting for the truck to drop into gear before trying to roll and causing gear damage to the truck. \n\nSounds like your boss does not like paying for repairs to me. Maybe try and stop your truck with your feet like Fred Flintstone... have a good day Driver.","replyToPid":0}

What I was asking is, is it really neccessary to wait 7 seconds? \n\n I shifted normally, maybe 2-3 seconds from drive to rear. Truck gives a beep once its in gear and then i press on accelerator. \n\nAnd thats Correct Sagittarian, truck wouldnt move if shifted too quickly.\n\nLast year boss told me I use too much Front wheel brakes. lol\n\nThanks for comments."}
