{"replyTo":"","text":"Well, if you get pulled over and your logs checked, or when your company finds out, if you try to blame it on traffic the only answer you'll hear is, \"You should have planned your trip better.\"  That being said though it doesn't always account for some possibilities such as major accidents that close roads when you have no option to reroute.  The only thing you can do is make sure to try to add a little bit of a time factor in gradually as you near your drive time limit. If you know you only have 2 hours left, and especially if you're heading into higher volume traffic areas, consider other options to stop for the night before your preferred destination. You can always leave a little earlier after your 10 hours off.  Look at your options well in advance as you plan your trip. {"replyTo":"","text":"Hardly any excuse to run out of time in traffic unless you just mean the 8 and you forget to take a 30.\n\nEvery major city will have traffic during normal rush hour times and you should always anticipate traffic during the daytime during non-rush hour times on weekdays.  Apps like this one even show traffic and are useful for seeing non-rush hour delays such as those caused by construction and accidents.\n\nI personally wont go through any major city during non-rush hour times unless I have over an hour of time available, just in case.  During rush hour times, I wont go through unless I have a few hours available to drive.  I'll park early or just stop to wait a few hours until after rush hour passes and traffic calms down.","replyToPid":0}
