West Coast: Are things slow for other Company drivers?

I got four days of layover pay this week.\n\n\nI’m new to trucking so I don’t know what the fluctuations are like. I know someone else mentioned the trade war and tariffs. Just trying to see if more people are experiencing the trend? {"replyTo":"","text":"yeah its slowed down. at our company also, we run all 48 states and also a descent portion. of Canada. 2 to 3 months ago it was crazy and all of 2018 was crazy to. Now it's like long mile week , a mid mile week, and a low week cycle. Stay tuned this business changes from fast to slow at times. Keep your mind focused n be safe driver. Right now I'm in the Colorado Rockies I-70 n snow, sun, high wind, rain etc..lol....and I have to run Hwy 6 just before the Eisenhower Tunnel because it's Hazmat load. smile away my friend, that's why I keep my truck well stocked food, water, fuel, etc.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"Freight out of Southern california is kind of tough right now, Once you get a load they cancel it, I think it's  too many Many Non-American cutting rates, As well as a surge in Mexican drivers picking up American freight even Though it's illegal but I see them alot.","replyToPid":0}
