{"replyTo":"","text":"After 30 plus years, both military and commercial driving,  there are two distinct type of operators when it comes to convergence. \n\n(1) Early blenders\n(2) Key runners. \n\nJust tonight, I-75 northbound, two right lanes closed ahead. Early blenders merge to number 1 lane two miles from convergence. \n\nAs expected, these drivers feel compelled to merge early. There is nothing wrong with that. \n\nHowever, Key Runners are Open Road drivers and utilize empty lanes until they reach the Key Hole. There is nothing wrong with this,  either. \n\nThe conflict arises when Early Blenders feel Key Runners are doing it wrong. What is really happening is they prefer EVERYONE conform to their standards. \n\nFact is, open road (lanes) are provided for vehicles to drive in.  Certain states provide guidance as to when merging must occur. \n\nin the absence of guidance, open lanes may be used.","replyToPid":0}
