I stopped and fueled up at the pilot in Tuscaloosa, Al earlier this morning and there was a woman down on her luck wanting a shower and didn’t have enough money to pay for it. Now I keep shower power with pilot/flying j and diamond status with Loves so I always get free showers. \n\nNot to mention everybody gets shower power this month from pilot/flying J for driver appreciation month. Not one person was willing to help this lady out. \n\nNeedless to say, I got her a shower, and would have even if I had to pay it out of my own pocket. What the hell is wrong with society today that people can’t have the common decency to help a person in need. I was always taught do onto others as you would have them do onto you. \n\nEverybody deserves to get a shower. I was plum embarrassed at the other drivers that wouldn’t step up and have any kind of human compassion. You gotta pay it forward guys and gals. \n\nThe manager took me aside and told me thanks because that woman was trying to scrape together enough money to purchase one for the past 3 hours. I am still just shocked that a group of professionals wouldn’t have the kindness to extend a free shower. Sorry for the rant but it just got under my skin!\n","videos":"[]","link":"{}","pics":"[]","canComment":true}

I'm from the Midwest and I think that has a little to do with it. we're still raised with manners out here.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"people have changed but there are still good ones. keep doing good and maybe those drivers will see your kindness and act better. i feel bad for not always having to use my shower and they expire. i do a lot of just 24 hour runs atm so im able to shower at my house but if i ever saw someone in need i would help out. they are free and if you drive and get gas you can get a lot of them. why waste them?","replyToPid":0}
