Should I ask my company to give me another position. I’m a new driver and all my stops are downtown Chicago..

{"text":"I Drive a 32 ft. Truck (Flatbed, 10 Speed) all my stops (5 or 6 daily) are scattered around Chicago. So I graduated school over a month ago, landed a local job last week. It’s my first job using my CDL (Class A) but I drive a Class B truck. \n\nThe tight streets, the small places I have to back into, the stop and go traffic. I could go on about how stressful this is especially with the 10 speeds goofy clutch will only catch (without gas) in 2nd unlike all the semis I’ve driven catching at 4th. Apparently everyone at the Company doesn’t want this truck because the transmission is trash. \n\nBASICALLY.. I feel like an accident is likely to happen if I keep doing this route, I’ve only done in it for a few days. It’s a smaller company, not very organized. OH and I’m contracted out to another company to fulfill their trucking needs. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\nalways check mirrors, go slow, goal as much as needed, take your time(no rush), DO NOT trust the person helping you back because it's ultimately your responsibility to make sure your clear(this happened to me once and I bumped a fork) goal goal goal goal goal... and in couple months time in other job will bore you being so easy. I say this because I did exactly what you did in Downtown Denver hauling rebar. like I said only that 1 mishap...could not even tell I hit it. plus I did Dollar tree account for a few weeks and this was again very impossible backing and driving situations.\nnow when I'm in a normal yard it feels like I'm in a football stadium alone. I had a brand new 2018 gorgeous all happy till I ran it a week.... it would always idle shut down bc of the Cali reg crap!!! so I couldn't keep cool at night therefore I wasn't rested properly which mean that brand new truck they gave me was deem (by me!!!) unsafe🤠 they immediately gave me another new 2018 Kenworth. if a bug hits the windshield wrong and you don't like it... scream out unsafe truck see what that does. if this falls on deaf ears... PUT IT IN WRITING to your supervisor I'm sure they'll move like the president of the free world just hit the door otherwise they have a huge lawsuit waiting 🤙...\nlike this I got a new truck when ever I wanted(didn't abuse this just on unsafe units they tried to give the new boot.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"I know a lot of people on here have more experience but I have fifteen years working tow trucks, Landoll, flatbed, reefers, and dry vans so I want to reiterate a few more pointers.  You're driving in Chicago (b class truck) with no practical driving experience at all spells disaster.  If this company care about you they wouldn't have put you in this truck to begin with.  The bottomline you just a number to them.  You got your whole life a head of you so go get on with a major carrier and get properly trained with a trainee [u]sing your CDL A class license.  I promise you you will never regret it.  Good luck","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"He's right Rusty, with no practical experience driving  in Chicago you're playing Russian roulette.  Man get on with a major carrier using your CDL A class license and get the proper trained n gain experience.  I'm telling you from exp ...don't  mess up your CDL with this piece if crap company.   With 1-2 yrs Class A experience you will be able to go anywhere in US and get a good paying job driving a big rig.  Don't settle for anything less!","replyToPid":0}
