Anyone here drive for CRST ever? I'm thinking about joining their CDL training program.

I know there are better companies out there but I'm not getting responses from them as quickly as I would like. I'm looking start within the next month or so. Looking back, the only bad thing I personally can really say is that the closer I (should really include my co-driver too, and he would agree) got to the 10 month contract ending, our miles started dropping and time between loads started increasing.\nOther than that, we both ran well together after figuring out the team dynamics that worked for us and both looked at it as you seem to, as simply somewhere to start.","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"It worked great for me 13 years ago.  I went to a good cdl school in Arkansas, C-1, and signed an 8 month contract with CRST.  I had a great trainer, a lady.  She ensured I knew what I was doing before she released me.  I stayed there for 9 months and moved on.  I've been a tanker yanker for the last almost 10 years, over 1.5 million miles accident free.  People talk a lot of noise, but it depends on how good your school is and your trainer.  You will be financially handicapped for a year or two, but keep your nose clean and choose your company carefully after you leave CRST and you can do well.  As I said, it worked for me.  Even spent one year as an Assistant Safety Director for a dryage trucking company in New Orleans.  I just missed the road too much!  Good luck.","replyToPid":0}
