{"replyTo":"","text":"get your own DOT and run your own company you will be the winner . best app for loads is DAT . post your truck if the markets good brokers will call you begging you to pick up a load for them . when they call you make sure you atleast moving your truck $3 PM . specially if you think they really need  you . robe them . {"replyToPid":0,"replyTo":"","text":"Personally, I  think everyone situation is different and leasing a truck may work for some, but when they hand you the keys your greatest worries will be that you are responsible for everything.  The truck will have 500-700 thousand miles and most likely the def will need deleting along with needing a new turbo, commpressor etc, so be sure to save up.  Anyways good luck it never hurts to dream big it just may come true. {"replyTo":"","text":"deal with customer's directly and do so ONLY after doing your research on the customer that you decide to pull for. \nHere is a really good way of convincing a new customer to let you pull their loads: \nFind the person in charge, sit them down (buy them lunch, dinner, whatever) that way it is at least a tax write-off. Then ask what is their most difficult load to deliver (All customers will have at least one) then do some quick calculations and if you think it is possible ask them if you do that load for them (which would prove your worth) would they be willing to let you pull more loads. \nVery rarely would the customer say no because the load is already a problem for them and it is a almost no risk win to them. \nLearn the transportation business and laws as well as business law and you will go a long way. The best driver in the world would probably fail as an O/O if they don't understand business.","replyToPid":0}
