Those same battery packs are being installed in mass on a larger scale for different city municipalities. You can also have them for big buildings or even just for your house. They’re a front end investment but those battery packs store power to charge things or keep the lights on after a blackout or disaster. Worst case scenario they have gas powered generators to charge vehicles or power homes. As for e-trucks you’re not likely to stay in a disaster area. You’ll drive out of a blackout area to get a charge same as people that drive gas cars because when the power goes out the gas pumps don’t pump. Electric fuel pumps and all that right? Cool thing about Electric vehicles is that you can back feed your power from your vehicles battery pack to your house to power the lights. Keep in mind you have to keep enough power to drive to a charger after.

","text":"Let me add to that. Tesla tried a battery swapping station in California back in the early days of their company. What they figured out was that when you buy your EV statistically you think of your car’s battery as an important part of the car. It’s Your battery. You know how you treat your battery, how you drive your car, etc. you know you’re not making out the charge to 100% for a drive to work, racing every red light. People weren’t comfortable having some strangers battery in their car. 90%+ of people that convert to an electric car when poled said they wouldn’t go back to a ICE car, (internal combustion engine). Your also very likely to become more concerned with how much energy you and your household consume. You’re more likely to get your own solar and battery for your home and be more environmentally conscious because  all of these new home units and vehicles have your consumption broken down and people treat it like a fun game.
