{"replyTo":"","text":"Love my auto trans.  Ya REALLY gotta trust the truck.  Slow, YUP! Turns different, YUP! Bad shifting, YUP.  For me it was trusting the “Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)” more.  I used to get safety flags for following too closely but when I just leave the ACC to do its thing the truck slows to changing traffic in front of me and I get no more red safety flags! Don’t get me wrong, my foot is still hovering over the brake pedal but the ACC always engages the right amount of Jake Brake for the situation.  The last few days I have logged 2,000 miles and cruise control usage (with ACC) on my performance readout is 91%.  Gas mileage went from 7 to over 10. It’s not auto-pilot but pretty darn close!","replyToPid":0}

{"replyTo":"","text":"not all automated transmissions are created equally, if you find that you really hate it you're probably just in a manufacturer whose transmission you don't fancy... there are good ones and there are bad ones. typical behavior from a bad transmission is noticeable especially in reverse, you'll notice it's all or nothing LOL, you won't be moving so you'll be pressing harder and harder on the throttle until all of a sudden you take off like a bolt of lightning, that's a bad one... The good ones will creep you back in reverse just fine and even hold you against the dock once you make contact.\nthey tend to double down quite a lot, but that depends on your company's economy settings, and you'll notice you'll become used to controlling the behavior of the transmission simply by having your foot slightly on the accelerator or all the way off... hard to make sense of all of this until you're in one but you'll see.","replyToPid":0}
