{"text":"So, I'm running a truck under someone else's authority, and I was wondering if I need my drivers to be employed under the owner-operator? I've never had to deal with this before. ","pics":"[]","canComment":true}
{"replyTo":"","text":"Everyone gets evaluated and qualified by the carrier. The carrier is the person who owns the authority. Being qualified doesn't make you an employee of the carrier. You can sign a partnership or run as a contractor to be self employed by agreeing to whatever is part of your contract. It's pretty much an Uber driver job but using a truck. Highly paid Uber driver.😂😂","replyToPid":0}
{"replyTo":"","text":"I believe they have to be employed under the owner operator. I know when I leased onto a company I had to fill out a job application and he told me if I ever put on any more trucks of my own they had to be screened through them as well as myself. they should have an answer for you the company who you are with if they don't I would contact ooida they will have an answer but I am pretty sure you have to have a file with each employee","replyToPid":0}
