{"replyTo":"","text":"It really depends on the weather. After treatment is from cold weather. the DEF can crystallize and give problems. The coolant reservoir wears from all the summer heat. They'll crack and go bad but this is true for any truck really. Detroit engines are great when you do your preventative maintenance. I only had one issue with the engine and that was because the guys at the truck wash  sprayed the engine with water and the head gaskets shrunk and created a leak. Never do a engine wash. it's a $6500 mistake if you're lucky. I'm sure its more at the Freightliner dealership. I have a 2012 Cascadia with 900,000 miles. It's still runs great. You just have to take care of it and it will take care of you. I want to put 1,500,000 on the dash before I upgrade. Don't be fooled about new trucks. New trucks have breakdowns also. A lot of kinks have be worked out. Recalls will be done. They need time to be broken in. The after treatment is a pain in the butt for every truck. You will get all types of dash codes and check engine lights. You will not get a perfect truck with no problems.  You just have to understand the problems and try to fix what you can before send it to a dealership for repairs. I just seen a guy go in to see 3 different mechanics down the road and the first 2 times was cuz the mechanics kept changing the wrong NOx sensor. He had to come out of pocket $2800 cuz they didn't know what they were doing. Or atleast that's what it seems. It could be deliberate to make money. I don't believe there are good or bad years when it comes to the truck model itself. Freightliner is a dependable truck. I had mine for 4 years. The most expensive job I had was a brand new after treatment. $11,000. That was a expensive lesson I learned.","replyToPid":0}
